Presence + Consciousness = Sensuality
Spring is in the air and I’m contemplating love affairs.
Here’s one of my favorite couples and their baby:
Presence + Consciousness = Sensuality
What does that even mean?
Why would you even want to understand sensuality?
Well, how often do you feel like you just need some space?
How often do you feel overwhelmed?
How much anxiety do you manage?
How many looping thoughts do you fight with?
None of that feels very sensual right?
Sensuality is born in feeling each moment and knowing you’re feeling it. Being present to the moment will actually expand time and space around you.
I know you know how a good kiss transcends both time and space.
When you're aware of how simple it is to transcend through sensuality you can consciously bring it into more areas of your day.
Immagine pausing to feel the air on your skin, to notice the way your body feels in your clothes, to watch the light change and cast different shadows throughout the day.
Shadows are sensual, the breeze caressing the leaves is sensual.
These things are always available to move you back into your innate sensuality. The side effect is that they also relieve you of looping thoughts, anxiety and energy overload in your mind.
Anxiety is a product of being overly cerebral. It's a product of skipping over your feelings and ignoring your body.
Your mind is never going to make you less lonely, more desirable or less anxious.
It’s returning to your full-bodiedness that brings you back to the here and now.
(Which is a worthwhile destination)
The "here & now" is where time doesn't exist. No past trauma, no future fear.
It's also where your consciousness can expand into freedom.
Sensuality can be your shortcut (and also your exponent).
